Hey so

I've been screwing around with the network connecting the communications devices a little. I know there's no Spotify here, no internet, not a lot of music, which sucks. My MP3 player came here with me, so I figured maybe some people might like to have at least a few options. It might not necessarily be to everyone's taste, but it's better than nothing (probably).

I've uploaded the contents to the database, you should be able to access it or send/receive songs at any time.

Turns out they already had some music on there too, so you can poke around theirs and see if you find something you like more. I haven't gotten to go through it all, but at least some of it looks like 21st century Earth stuff.

Sidenote: you're welcome to criticize the contents of my MP3 player, just know that I've never felt shame in my life & I can and will sing all of these karaoke style to your face. IDK if you really want to live through that experience.

I can also kind of do this duplication thing, but I haven't tested it yet because guns themselves are kind of too complex so I'm trying to win over the trust of the guy who controls the guns and convince him to let me totally break one of the guns down just to test if I can duplicate the individual components of the gun and then reassemble it, which could be awesome and lead to way more guns, or it could fail completely and lead to 1 less gun, so it's a whole

It's not exactly a secret, I've done it in the engineering corp and for a while over there where they were handing out care packages, so some people got to keep their loved one's stuff. I mean, some of it, anyway. It seemed fucked up to hide something like this in a place where people desperately need resources.


Really good guess, man. Yeah, inorganic stuff, and it has to be relatively simple. When you start mixing too much material or adding too much complexity it just fucks up. I can do like tools, cloth, metal, base components you know. Wood. Paper. Leather. I can also manipulate stuff that already exists and reshape it, which comes in real fucking handy in this line of work.

ain't about keeping your usefulness secret. just... public tempers running high. might not sit well with some folk to hear you wanna try and mass produce guns when they don't trust us eggs and bacon people yet. like I said, I'm happy to back that endeavor. meantime, you feel like snooping about the aid station? we running low on everything, bandages included. don't sound like you could duplicate the actual medication, but some more basic supplies would do us some good.

If someone has a problem with the production of weapons in a place like this, they clearly don't have any idea what it's like to be at the end of the world with no government out there to swoop in and save you from the aliens. A lot of the locals here probably have that understanding by now, it seems like maybe making defenses for their security force could be a positive demonstration of good intent? But I guess that depends on your perspective.

( Definitely not speaking from very intense very traumatized experience here, nope, no way. Absolutely not having a daily anxiety attack over being in a situation like this again. It's fine. That's what moonshine is for. )

Unfortunately, yeah.

It's mostly jazz-hands so far. If there's a limit, I haven't hit it yet. Just size and complexity restrictions.
