Hey so
I've been screwing around with the network connecting the communications devices a little. I know there's no Spotify here, no internet, not a lot of music, which sucks. My MP3 player came here with me, so I figured maybe some people might like to have at least a few options. It might not necessarily be to everyone's taste, but it's better than nothing (probably).
I've uploaded the contents to the database, you should be able to access it or send/receive songs at any time.
Turns out they already had some music on there too, so you can poke around theirs and see if you find something you like more. I haven't gotten to go through it all, but at least some of it looks like 21st century Earth stuff.
Sidenote: you're welcome to criticize the contents of my MP3 player, just know that I've never felt shame in my life & I can and will sing all of these karaoke style to your face. IDK if you really want to live through that experience.
( feel free to threadjack as you like )

guy I'm dating
No kidding, fuck, imagine if I could have done that back home. I'd have the best counterfeit scheme in history.

you didn't have the powers before? what, the eggs dispense new features at random?
no subject
um
relocation, I guess. I woke up in like this alternate... timeline... thing about a year ago almost. I got the powers there, and I guess they're permanent, since they came with me here.

so you're just that kinda unlucky, huh?
[ goddamn miracle the boyfriend didn't get separated - Sam's just assuming that's an imported thing, though if they just went full-speed ahead, hey, who's he to judge. ]
seriously though, how you holding up?

I'm good, man. Could be worse.
( he's awful, actually, and he's staving off anxiety attacks with moonshine and weed. Thisisfine.jpg )

could be worse don't quite make it good. ain't gonna push you on that though. this place more like home or more like the power up timeline?

This place definitely has a better population and more electricity. Indoor plumbing. No restrictions on using metal, you'd be fucking amazed how hard it is to adapt to not using metal.

we also still got the wreck to salvage things from. so no nine to five, but more stable than 40 to 50 people in a compound.
oregon, huh?

Not originally, I was teaching at Berkeley in California when everything went nuts. Oregon was less populated, lots of forest, practically no metal. We made it work.
( Look man, yes, that is definitely awful and only barely keeping his feelings in the glass, however — on the surface he looks chill as fuck, totally unflappable. He's a real master at projecting that, good luck prying Real Feelings out of him.
Watch him do the ol' redirect attention off himself maneuver: )
What about you, man? Where are you from?

nice
I visited new orleans once, it was nice
no Berkeley, but nice
( a little pleasant, mild ribbing about home city superiority. Seems safer than touching on the latter parts, which could be sensitive. )
