Hey so

I've been screwing around with the network connecting the communications devices a little. I know there's no Spotify here, no internet, not a lot of music, which sucks. My MP3 player came here with me, so I figured maybe some people might like to have at least a few options. It might not necessarily be to everyone's taste, but it's better than nothing (probably).

I've uploaded the contents to the database, you should be able to access it or send/receive songs at any time.

Turns out they already had some music on there too, so you can poke around theirs and see if you find something you like more. I haven't gotten to go through it all, but at least some of it looks like 21st century Earth stuff.

Sidenote: you're welcome to criticize the contents of my MP3 player, just know that I've never felt shame in my life & I can and will sing all of these karaoke style to your face. IDK if you really want to live through that experience.

I think if we could get some abundant moonshine, karaoke night would probably be a hit. Also, WOW I haven't heard the word Napster in a long time.

I'm all for "in vino veritas" and all that too, but I don't know how well they'd take alcohol in the space they keep all their children. Not that I'm against it myself, I'm from Italy, but I know there are cultures that aren't very fond of the idea. You'll have to do without your liquid courage.

Ugh, let me guess, you're from the future as well. Or, a future. It's May 2001 for me, Napster's still sort of new. I only know about it because I'm unfortunately invested in getting music that's harder to find in Italy. I heard they were going to release portable mp3s at some point later this year.

Might be a good idea to plan an 18+ karaoke night instead. I'm sure nothing could go wrong there.

It was maybe 2020ish for me back home before the involuntary traveling. MP3s definitely kick off for a while, but eventually everything goes cloud-based. Basically, all the songs are stored on websites or applications that you can just access all the time, all of them, whenever. It's handy, until

It's okay, though. Spotify stopped being a thing in my world way before I got here. People used to give me shit all the time for still carrying around an MP3 player, but who got the last laugh?

Not exactly, but it's been following me around through an apocalypse and a little involuntary time travel, so I think it might be a permanent fixture at this point.
