There's room at the table for us at the upcoming meeting between Capt. Childe and the Thessyx representatives. Don't know how many seats or what's going to be discussed, but if you want to be the one representing us, or otherwise got any strong feelings on the matter

Now's the time to speak up.

For transparency's sake we've been partners back home for years. I trust him.

[ So they're from the same world. Just like Alina and Nina are from the same world. It's a subtle reminder that John needs to be as careful about his identity as ever, in case anyone shows up from his. ]

So you served together?

I'm John. I just met him here, he led my team when we went out looking for those scientists. He knows what he's doing. If you work with him, you must too.

Served in different wars, met later back home. Me and another friend stumbled onto something we weren't meant to find, got targets on our back. Sam gave us a place to lay low, risked his own life helping save millions.

Stopped a shadow organization within an extra-governmental military agency from acting out a coup on a national scale.

Nah. I don't have the pokerface for it.

I was working special ops for that agency at the time. Someone else tipped us off.

So you had to turn on your own people. It's not everyone who'd do that for the greater good. Can't have been easy, I'm sorry. Sounds like your world was lucky to have you.
