Everyone's already got their hands full so I'll cut to the chase:

There's room at the table for us at the upcoming meeting between Capt. Childe and the Thessyx representatives. Don't know how many seats or what's going to be discussed, but if you want to be the one representing us, or otherwise got any strong feelings on the matter

Now's the time to speak up.

Think most of us are on the same page there.

Most isn't all, and it's that small group I worry about.

Strangers that we are, we're not liable to agree on or share everything we know. But maybe I'm more cynical than you are.

[Sure, they're choosing their representative, but not everyone came with friends!]

We don't always get to work with folks with agree with everything on, or even like.

It'd be nice to have more time, but it is what it is sometimes. You figure out common ground where you can. And if you can't, you still gotta make the best decision you can in the moment.

[ He's plenty cynical at times. But he's also been in plenty of impossible circumstances, and hasn't let it stop him from pushing forward when he had no other choice. ]

I can tell you right now that I was pulled from my world while it was in a state of chaos, lives lost, and more on the line depending on me and my team.

I need to find out how we can all get back home.

Trish will admit her mind has been preoccupied with their current circumstances almost exclusively, what with her home life being a day to day solitary affair. Quiet...nothing at stake, for the moment, except a future far too nebulous to really worry about.

But if everyone was pulled from different times, then it stands to reason some of them would absolutely have left at very, very bad junctures.]

Then that's all the more reason to act cautiously. Not to say you're doing anything wrong, I guess...

I just worry about mistakes. A big enough mistake or sorely misplaced trust this early on in our stay could cost us far too much.

But you type pretty enough words that you know what? I believe you. As long as you're part of this affair, then I trust you to follow through and represent us well enough. Don't prove me wrong.

This person has to be a diplomat of some kind back home that he's humoring her in regards to her opinion mattering. He could have easily blown her off...
