Everyone's already got their hands full so I'll cut to the chase:

There's room at the table for us at the upcoming meeting between Capt. Childe and the Thessyx representatives. Don't know how many seats or what's going to be discussed, but if you want to be the one representing us, or otherwise got any strong feelings on the matter

Now's the time to speak up.

Yeah. I know not all of us like to think of us as a group, but the fact is that's how we're seen. And whatever one of us does, anywhere around the base camp for that matter-- is gonna reflect on the rest of us. Something to remember.

I know I've got a ton of questions I'd like answered. Hadn't thought about others before us arriving the same way though.

We're in agreement on that. Which is probably why it's a good idea to leave me out of any public speaking arrangements. My thesis advisors would attest to that if they were here.


Everything we know about this planet is what the Adamant's crew has been willing to share, and even they're limited to the last three years. Assuming the Leviathan was petrified naturally, that leaves thousands of years of this thing being here in this state, if not millions.

To them we might be a regular occurance, or the equivalent of a few dozen people walking out of the arcs of Stonehenge. If it's the case of the latter, they're a lot more understanding than humans of my age would be. If it's the former, that leaves the question of where any previous arrivals are now.

[ He also wouldn't mind getting a chance to talk to the Thessyx about Adamant crew without their hosts around to overhear what a suspicious bastard he can be under the Bill Nye demeanor, but one thing at a time. ]

Sounds like we have about the same point of reference then. Most of the world back home is unaware of any intelligent life beyond humanity, and the few people who are aren't usually very friendly when they find it.

I'm trying to imagine the response to this sort of thing happening, and it wouldn't involve gifts and friendly dinners.

Back where I'm from we've had two full scale alien invasions already. Smaller meetings with friendlies too.

Kind of strange being on the other side of the table for once.

I've worked a bit with Sam Wilson since getting here, he's told me a bit about what I'm now gathering is your shared homeworld. It does sound like your Earth has a lot more in the way of the openly unusual.

And much more colorful fashion statements.

I'm still wrapping my head around time travel and multiple versions of Earth to be honest.

I was raised to avoid being noticed at all costs, but I understand how it could be useful for other people.

My paternal grandmother was pretty insistent we have a good understanding of the concept alternate realities, but that was more in the hopes that something like this wouldn't happen to us. It's the viable eggs growing in a petrified dead lizard somehow summoning people through dimensions that has me the most stumped.
